Ranch Pant II - Navy Denim

Fauves is produced in Japan, under the same designer as Olde Homesteader and Olde H & Daughter, two of our most elevated small brands. The label takes its name from "Fauvism", a short-lived artistic style/movement from the early 20th century, lead by Henri Matisse and Andre Derain - Fauvism was characterized by its use of bold colors and exaggerated brushstrokes, adjacent to the impressionist style. Fauves' design takes inspiration from classic American workwear styles, looking specifically at mass-produced garments developed after industrialization. Each silhouette is meticulously enhanced, with exacting construction, custom textiles, and highly detailed tailoring, a stark contrast to the more simplified & utilitarian originals. The Ranch Pant II is inspired by naval denim and WWII fits, with its soft blue body, contrast white stitching, and rounded bucket pockets. It's got a really great relaxed fit, with a high rise and gentle taper below down the leg, but plenty of room throughout for movement. The cut a very clean and classic silhouette, sitting naturally and just barely exaggerating your overall profile (in a very tasteful way). Made from a medium-weight 100% cotton denim, they feature a more vintage style indigo dye, with lighter blue and green tones throughout. It's surprisingly soft given its heft, and will only continue to relax and grow more comfortable as it breaks in, developing old school lower-contrast fades from wear and washing. The fly closes up with a stainless zipper, and the waistband features one single button that has been sewn on, rather than a pressed metal donut button. Fits true to size.
