RAM Mounts Explained RAM Mounts are incredibly versatile and robust mounting systems that rely on a simple yet effective design: the ball and socket joint. Each component in a RAM Mount system, whether it's a cradle for your phone, an arm for extension, or a base for attachment, features a rubber ball connected to a socket. This ball and socket joint allows for near-infinite adjustability, enabling you to position your device at the perfect viewing angle. To secure the desired position, you simply tighten a knob on the arm, compressing the socket onto the ball and creating a strong and vibration-resistant hold. This modular design allows for endless customization, making RAM Mounts suitable for a wide range of applications, from cars and motorcycles to airplanes and boats. Choosing the right RAM Mount for your needs involves selecting the correct RAM Cradle, RAM Arm, and RAM Base. The cradle is designed to securely hold your specific device, whether it's a phone, tablet, GPS unit, or even a cup holder. The arm provides extension and adjustability, allowing you to position the device at the desired distance and angle. The base attaches the mount to a surface, such as a yoke, dashboard, or handlebar. When selecting these components, consider factors such as the size and weight of your device, the desired location for mounting, and the level of adjustability needed. By carefully choosing the right combination of cradle, arm, and base, you can create a customized mounting solution that perfectly meets your needs.
