Rainy's Flies Lefty's Big Fish Deceiver

When the bait gets bigger—or you are looking for a bigger bite—it helps to throw a fly with a little more presence. The Rainy's Flies Lefty's Big Fish Deceiver takes the proven profile and action of the classic Lefty's Deceiver and scales it up for anglers targeting larger saltwater predators. At approximately 6 inches long, it presents a larger baitfish profile while keeping the flowing movement and natural swimming action that made the original Deceiver famous. Stripped fast, it looks like a baitfish trying to get away. Worked slower with pauses, the materials continue to breathe and move in the water, giving following fish plenty of reason to commit. Rainy's ties the Big Fish Deceiver on a larger 3/0 hook, making it a solid choice when striped bass, bluefish, and other inshore predators are feeding on bigger forage or when you simply want to put a more substantial meal in front of them. It is still a Deceiver—just with a little more meat on the bones. Features Larger version of the classic Lefty's Deceiver Approximately 6 inches long Tied on a 3/0 hook Large baitfish profile for saltwater fly fishing Flowing materials create natural movement and swimming action Effective with fast strips, slower retrieves, and pauses Excellent choice when predators are feeding on larger bait Well suited for striped bass, bluefish, and other inshore saltwater species Note:  This is a handmade product using natural fibers.  There can be some variation between the picture and the actual product.
