Rain on Oak

The nostalgic sorrow of discovering a giant fallen oak, struck by lightning during a storm. The perfumer, heir to fragrance greatness, captures a walk in the forest outside of Paris with charred oak, tobacco and petrichor elegance. From IFF & Scents of Wood A creation capturing the essence of petrichor, the scent of rain on dry earth. An opening of refreshing aquatic notes evokes the sensation of raindrops falling as the earthy and slightly dirty aroma, enriched by geosmin, embraces your senses, bringing a natural, grounded quality to the scent. Cashmeran completes the olfactory journey, providing a harmonious balance between wet, earthy, and woody elements. This fragrance embodies the serene beauty of a forest after a fresh rain shower, making it an alluring and evocative choice for nature enthusiasts and those who appreciate the unique charm of petrichor. Two particularly notable notes in Rain On Oak are healingwood and geosmin. A 100%-natural patchoulol extract from patchouli oil, healingwood has the deep, complex, and high-impact woody character of patchouli, with a much more radiant and vibrant aspect. The second of the two, geosmin, produces the scent of petrichor, the naturally occurring pleasant, earthy smell of soil that comes with and after rain.
