Rain Bird ESP-9V4 4-Station Battery Irrigation Controller

The Rain Bird ESP-9V4 is a battery-operated 4-station irrigation controller engineered for reliable automatic watering where AC power is not available. Compact and weatherproof, the ESP-9V4 offers intuitive programming on a large sealed LCD, a one-touch manual watering button, and long battery life so systems run dependably in valve boxes, sheds, or remote locations. Battery-powered operation: Runs on one or two 9V alkaline batteries; two batteries provide more than two years of typical operation, while one battery provides at least one year of operation under normal conditions. Weatherproof construction: IP68-rated sealed enclosure and gasketed battery compartment protect the controller from dust, dirt and water for reliable outdoor or valve-box installation. Easy programming and operation: Large, sealed LCD with at-a-glance programming shows run times, start times and watering days for each zone; dedicated manual-start button for quick water-on access. Non-volatile memory: Program settings are retained even if batteries are removed; long-term program memory protects schedules through battery changes. Control features: Includes sensor input with bypass option and a master valve/pump start circuit for systems that require a pump or master valve. Compact footprint: Small, robust housing is ideal for in-ground valve box mounting or wall installation — dimensions: 13.59 cm W × 10.26 cm H × 6.15 cm D; weight: approximately 907 g. The ESP-9V4 is compatible with Rain Bird 9V latching solenoids and common rainfall sensors such as the RSD-BEX; it ships backed by Rain Bird’s industry-leading 5-year warranty.
