Rain Bird ESPLXMSM8 8-Station Expansion Module for ESP-LX

Increase the capacity of an ESP-LX series controller without replacing the base unit using the Rain Bird ESPLXMSM8 8-station expansion module. Designed for commercial and large residential irrigation systems, this compact module integrates directly into ESP-LXME, ESP-LXMEF and ESP-LX modular controllers to add eight additional stations while preserving the controller’s existing programming and station sequencing. Adds eight stations: Expands any compatible ESP-LX controller by eight zones for broader irrigation coverage. Hot-swappable installation: Install or remove the module while the controller remains powered; modules can be added in any available slot. Field wiring compatibility: Integrates with ESP-LXME field wiring using screw terminal blocks for secure, serviceable connections. Seamless station handling: Controller recognizes new modules and updates station numbering to avoid gaps while preserving schedules and programs. Built for large systems: Ideal for commercial landscapes, sports fields, and large residential properties where incremental expansion is preferred. When paired with an ESP-LXME/ESP-LXMEF or ESP-LX base controller, the ESPLXMSM8 maintains the controller’s standard solenoid and multi-valve capacities and supports the same programming features and sequencing logic. A module status indicator helps confirm communication with the front panel during installation. For wiring diagrams, simultaneous station limits, and detailed installation steps, follow the ESP-LXME installation and wiring guides supplied by Rain Bird.
