Raffles

Asia is the spiritual home of Raffles, where the story of the hotel—and its butlers—began. It’s where the adage that service should act like a gentle breeze—unnoticed but welcome— remains paramount. Butlers here must display a light touch but a constant one, a sense that they’re ever ready but never anxious. At Raffles, the service always stretches beyond the grounds of the property—the role of a butler won’t be limited to the four walls of a suite. The world of Raffles hotels brings the romance, elegance, and glamour of another era to our modern times. Often situated within a significant landmark, each property embodies a fusion of British refinement and Asian charm, inviting guests to experience the brand’s legendary sophistication and unique service. In Ra!es: From your Butler, readers are guided page after page by their own private butler to experience the best of Raffles across an array of regions around the world. From Paris to Dubai to Singapore, discover the city, explore the region, and let yourself wander new ground with personalized notes from your butler: a unique dinner reservation for two nearby one of the world’s seven wonders, a teatime in Raffles Singapore’s Palm Garden or a private swimming session for your children, perhaps? This captivating book celebrates the Raffles legacy with exclusive photography, a cheeky-toned text, full of compelling anecdotes, by travel writer Mark Ellwood, and a foreword by Derek C. Blasberg. They will both take you on a trip across the five continents, stopping at every Raffles location along the way.
