Professor Addicott’s latest book  Radical Islam Why? is now available for purchase.  Over 200 pages, the book  identifies the legal and policy issues associated with “radical Islam.”       With the rise of ISIS and the uptick in terror attacks by adherents of radical Islam both in the US and abroad, it is imperative that those who use terror to murder be fully identified.  While the term radical Islam rolls off the tongue with great ease, there is much confusion about what the term means.  As such, it is vitally important to fully understand not just the threat posed by the disciples of radical Islam, but the motivations and goals of radical Islam.  For instance, at the least, radical Islam is an ultra-fundamentalist religious view of the world that goes far beyond those millions of Muslims who willingly embrace things that are the antithesis of Western legal norms such as Sharia courts.  In short, radical Islam is a religious belief that both condones and commands the adherent to kill and be killed in jihad as its highest virtue.  While this view is rejected by the majority of Muslims and not all fundamentalists of Islam are jihadists, all jihadists are ultra- fundamentalists.      The purpose of this book is to fully explore the nature of the enemy forces arrayed against us so that we can find better ways to confront them. It is time to look radical Islam straight in the eye. This book is only available as an eBook.
