Produced for Man-tle by Aurora Shoe Co. in upstate New York. Taking their recognizable Middle English monk-style flat, a thicker Vibram sole has been applied. This shoe features large cuts of leather, Aurora’s recognizable strap, a solid brass buckle in black, and a Man-tle insole stamp. Thick, breathable, full-grain leather upper stretches and molds to the wearer's feet. Chromexcel cow leather upper produced by Horween Leather Co. a family-run tannery in Chicago. The leather is sourced as a by-product of farming, then tanned using a recipe developed over a century ago involving barks, natural oils and pigments. Combined with chrome tanning for softness and durability, vegetable tanning offers fullness and an ability for the leather to develop patina. The sole is hand-assembled using lightweight Vibram EVA Vi-Lite materials produced in the USA. 100% leather with a vibram sole. Rub leather upper gently with a small amount of leather conditioner.
