This book is different in that it contains new material and by an author directly related to the principle subject. It presents material and artifacts never before seen or present to the public. It would be of special interest to readers of American history and especially of the American Civil War. Most Civil War books re-tell the same old story or parse some specific battle or campaign. This book also includes material that would be of interest to the general public. The format could serve as a pattern for other persons pursuing the story of a family hero with notable life accomplishments. We all have ancestors!
