Quiet Companion

Cortney Herron reimagines domestic interiors as expansive landscapes, where the familiar transforms into something vast and deeply felt. Through warm, earthy tones, she considers the ways our intimate surroundings hold memory, emotion, and narrative—becoming terrains that are both lived and metaphorical. Herron plays with scale and magnitude, dissolving boundaries between interior and exterior, personal and universal. The quiet folds of a curtain, the edge of a table, or the light pooling in a corner expand beyond their immediate presence, offering a sense of space that is both intimate and infinite. In her work, the home is not just a setting but a landscape of experience—one that continues to shift and unfold with time.
