Quick Mill Elevate R

Overview The Quick Mill Elevate R is a compact Italian dual boiler espresso machine that delivers genuine commercial-level performance without the bulk or noise of larger café equipment. Built around two independent insulated stainless steel boilers, a commercial rotary pump, and comprehensive PID temperature control, it offers the kind of simultaneous brewing and steaming capability typically found only in much larger machines. The fully polished stainless steel chassis houses a serious brewing platform designed for enthusiasts who need precision, repeatability, and a quiet workflow. This is a professional-grade machine scaled for home use, not a home machine trying to mimic café performance. Dual Boiler System The Elevate R uses two completely independent insulated stainless steel boilers: a dedicated 0.75-litre brew boiler and a 1.6-litre steam and hot water boiler. This separation means brew temperature and steam pressure never interfere with each other, regardless of how aggressively you use either function. You can pull a shot while simultaneously steaming milk, or fire up the steam wand immediately after extraction without waiting for a boiler to recover or switch modes. There is no temperature crossover, no waiting, and no compromise in thermal stability during back-to-back drinks. The independent design also allows each boiler to be tuned for its specific task. The brew boiler can be set precisely for your coffee and roast profile, while the steam boiler runs at a higher temperature optimized for fast, dry steam production. This functional independence is what separates dual boiler machines from heat exchanger or single boiler designs, and it is the foundation of the Elevate R's workflow advantage. Commercial Rotary Pump Unlike the vibratory pumps found in most home espresso machines, the Elevate R is equipped with a commercial-grade rotary pump. The difference is immediately apparent: rotary pumps run quietly, produce smooth and stable extraction pressure, and are built for continuous use over thousands of shots. They also support direct plumbing, which means the Elevate R can be connected to a mains water line for a fully integrated setup in high-volume environments. Rotary pumps deliver pressure more evenly and with less pulsation than vibratory designs, which translates to more consistent extraction and better shot quality. For anyone stepping up from a vibratory pump machine, the quiet operation alone is a noticeable upgrade. For café owners or serious home baristas pulling multiple drinks per session, the rotary pump's durability and smooth performance make it the clear choice. PID Temperature Control Both boilers are governed by independent PID controllers, allowing you to set and maintain precise temperatures for brewing and steaming separately. The brew boiler can be adjusted in fine increments to match lighter or darker roasts, different coffee origins, or specific extraction profiles. The steam boiler can be tuned for faster or drier steam depending on your milk texturing preferences. Once set, the PIDs hold these temperatures continuously and accurately, ensuring shot-to-shot consistency regardless of how many drinks you pull in a session. The PID system monitors boiler temperature in real time and makes micro-adjustments to maintain stability. This eliminates the temperature swings common in thermostat-controlled machines and gives you the kind of thermal precision necessary for repeatable, high-quality espresso. For anyone serious about dialing in extraction or experimenting with different coffees, PID control is not optional. Programmable Pre-Infusion The Elevate R includes fully programmable pre-infusion, which allows you to gently saturate the coffee bed with low-pressure water before full extraction begins. Pre-infusion helps eliminate channeling, promotes even extraction, and draws out deeper sweetness and clarity from the coffee. The duration and intensity of the pre-infusion phase can be customized to suit your grind size, dose, roast level, and personal preference. Pre-infusion is particularly useful for lighter roasts, freshly roasted beans, or finely ground coffee, where aggressive extraction can lead to bitterness or astringency. By allowing the puck to bloom gently before applying full pressure, you give the coffee time to degas and saturate evenly. The result is cleaner, more balanced shots with improved body and aroma. The programmable nature of this feature means you can experiment and save settings for different coffees or brewing styles. Quick Mill Brew Group with Stainless Mushroom The Elevate R uses Quick Mill's own commercial-grade brew group, fitted with a stainless steel mushroom (shower screen holder). This design ensures excellent thermal stability and even water distribution across the coffee puck. The stainless mushroom retains heat more effectively than brass or chrome-plated alternatives, which helps maintain consistent temperature at the point of extraction. The result is better temperature stability during the shot and less thermal drift between pulls. The brew group is built for durability and ease of maintenance. It is designed to handle high-volume use without degradation, and the stainless construction resists corrosion and scale buildup over time. For anyone planning to use this machine daily or in a light commercial setting, the quality and longevity of the brew group matter. Quick Mill's design reflects decades of experience building machines for Italian cafés, and that experience shows in the Elevate R's performance and reliability. OLED Display and Smart Controls The Elevate R features an OLED display that provides real-time information on brew temperature, steam temperature, shot timer, and water tank level. The shot timer starts automatically when you activate the brew switch and stops when you end the shot, giving you precise extraction timing for every pull. This is essential for dialing in recipes and maintaining consistency across multiple drinks. The machine also includes programmable standby and eco modes, which reduce energy consumption during idle periods without shutting down completely. An automatic boiler refill system uses an electronic level probe to maintain water levels, and a magnetic no-water sensor alerts you when the tank is empty and prevents the machine from running dry. These features make the Elevate R easier to live with on a daily basis, reducing manual intervention and protecting the machine from operator error. Dual Pressure Gauge A double-scale manometer mounted on the front panel displays both pump pressure and boiler pressure simultaneously. The pump pressure gauge shows extraction pressure in real time, allowing you to monitor and adjust your grind, dose, or tamp to hit your target pressure. The boiler pressure gauge gives you a live readout of steam boiler pressure, which helps you understand when the machine is ready for steaming and how aggressively the steam wand will perform. Having both readings visible at once gives you a complete picture of what the machine is doing during extraction and steaming. This kind of feedback is invaluable when dialing in a new coffee or troubleshooting inconsistent shots. It also makes the machine more intuitive to use, especially for anyone transitioning from a less transparent setup. Anti-Burn Steam and Hot Water Wands The Elevate R is equipped with cool-touch, anti-burn wands for both steam and hot water. These wands remain safe to handle even during extended steaming sessions, which improves comfort and reduces the risk of accidental burns. The controls are designed for smooth, precise operation, giving you fine control over steam flow and pressure during milk texturing. The steam wand delivers fast, dry steam from the dedicated 1.6-litre boiler, making it easy to texture milk quickly and consistently. The hot water wand is equally useful for Americanos, brewing tea, or rinsing equipment. Both wands are positioned for ergonomic access and can be operated comfortably during back-to-back drinks.   Learn more about their Instant Stability here!
