Quercetin is a flavonoid antioxidant that has been shown to have immune-supportive properties. It has been suggested to support the immune system by increasing the production of antioxidants that help protect the body against oxidative stress and cellular damage. Quercetin may also stimulate the production and activity of certain immune cells, such as natural killer cells and T cells, which help to fight infections and support the overall function of the immune system.  Studies have also shown that it may aid in promoting gut health, which is an important component of a healthy immune system. Quercetin also supports respiratory health by supporting a healthy response to inflammation in the airways and lungs. It has been shown to have potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, which can be critical in supporting airways and lungs that are under stress or attack. Quercetin may also help to improve the function of the epithelial barrier in the respiratory tract, reducing the risk of irritants from entering the lungs. Vitamin C and Zinc are two well known supplements that are important for immune support, and are included in these formulas at levels that provide 100% of your daily recommended allowance.
