Queensland Elder Yarn

100% Anatolian Merino Wool Country of origin: Turkey OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Mulesing-free Suggested           US 5 to 7 Knits to 21-24 stitches over 4in One of the wool’s most prized features is its high elasticity, which lends extraordinary resilience to hand-knitted garments. This means sweaters, hats, and scarves made from Elder Anatolian Merino yarn retain their shape beautifully over time and offer a natural stretch and recovery that enhances fit and comfort. Its crimped fibers give excellent stitch definition, making it a favorite among hand knitters who want their cables, textures, and patterns to pop with clarity. But Elder Anatolian Merino is more than just functional—it’s a yarn with a story. Each skein is a blend of cultural heritage, genetic ingenuity, and natural adaptation, rooted in the soil of ancient highlands. It represents nearly a century of deliberate breeding and thousands of years of pastoral tradition. For knitters and fiber artists seeking something beyond the ordinary, Elder Anatolian Merino offers a rare and meaningful experience—combining the luxury of fine wool with the soul of Anatolia. Whether you’re creating heirloom garments or everyday essentials, Elder Anatolian Merino wool provides warmth, breathability, bounce, and beauty—a perfect union of past and present, ready to be stitched into your next masterpiece.
