California Quails are striking, richly-patterned, round birds that can be found hurrying across clearings in brushy areas of California and the Northwest. Their most distinctive feature is their comma-shaped head plume, which is actually a cluster of six overlapping feathers. California’s state bird, they avoid mountains and stick to the coast and valleys. Bird Collective will donate 20% of the profits from this patch to the Yurok Tribe of northern California as it works to restore and protect the quail’s chaparral and prairie habitat. All embroidered bird patches have an iron-on backing, but the adhesive is temporary. For durability, we recommend sewing or using a permanent, flexible fabric glue. Dimensions: 1.8" wide x 2" high
