Quadra DAC - 4 Channel 12 / 14 / 16 Bits

Anabit's Quadra DAC is a four-channel, open-source, buffered voltage-output platform for precise, synchronized analog control. Choose from 16-, 14-, or 12-bit resolutions, which support sampling rates up to 200 kSPS per channel. A precision 2.5 V internal reference sets the span for all channels via a global gain select (1× or 2×), yielding 0–2.5 V or 0–5 V full-scale across every output. The on-board 2.5V reference can be routed out to bias external circuits. Quadra DAC is powered from a single 5 V DC rail, while the digital/SPI circuits can share the 5 V rail or use an auto-detected 1.8–5.0 V logic supply for clean level matching.  The LDAC or Load DAC feature enables hardware based timing for simultaneous four-channel updates for phase-coherent steps and edges. Each output is rail-to-rail op-amp buffered; drive capability +/-5mA with built-in short circuit protection. For deterministic power-on behavior, the Quadra DAC exposes RSTSEL so you can define power-on output state (zero-scale or mid-scale). The design layout, component selection, and power noise filtering stage emphasize low drift and low noise, while the straightforward SPI interface keeps firmware simple—check out our tutorial with example code. Whether you’re trimming setpoints, simulating sensors, or orchestrating synchronized steps, Quadra DAC provides a robust, compact backbone for deterministic analog generation. Example use cases: Industrial / process control: multi-channel setpoints for PLC/DAQ stimulation and closed-loop control HIL sensor/actuator simulation: coherent 4-channel analog control signals Multi-rail biasing: optics, RF, and precision amplifier bias control Filter/ADC/amplifier characterization: DC sweeps and small-signal steps
