Q'Straint DropLok Easy Mount with Safe Release | Q10-005

The Q'Straint DropLok Safe Release System is the vehicle-mounted component of the first SAE J3043 crash-certified EMT bag securement platform built for first responders. Installed in minutes with just 4 bolts, it mounts vertically on ambulance walls or horizontally on countertops — in whatever position maximizes your crew's workflow. Once a DropLok-equipped LokBox bag or case is loaded, it locks automatically. No extra steps. On arrival at a scene, a single pull via the top button or bottom release disengages the bag and puts it in your crew's hands instantly. Safe in transit. Gone the moment you need it. Frequently Asked Questions What does SAE J3043 crash certification mean for my agency? SAE J3043 is the standard that governs dynamic and static testing of equipment mount devices in emergency vehicles — covering what happens to a secured load in a frontal impact (per SAE J2917) and a side impact (per SAE J2956). DropLok is fully crash tested and certified to these standards, rated up to 25 lbs, meaning your secured EMT bags won't become projectiles in an accident. This is the same level of engineering rigor Q'Straint has applied to wheelchair securement for nearly 40 years, now applied to EMS equipment cases. Can this be mounted horizontally on a countertop as well as on the wall? Yes. One of DropLok's key design advantages is universal mounting orientation. Install it vertically on ambulance walls to maximize compartment space, or horizontally on countertops for direct grab access. Q'Straint engineered it to work in whatever configuration your vehicle layout and crew workflow require. Vertical mounted bags can be engaged from the top or bottom of the mount, making any location fully accessible. Does the Safe Release System include the EMT bag? No — the Q10-005 is the vehicle-mounted component only and does not include a LokBox bag or case. To complete the DropLok system you also need a DropLok Retrofit Kit (Q10-003 for small cases or Q10-004 for large cases) installed on your existing bag, or a Q'Straint LokBox. For a complete all-in-one bundle including a large LokBox case, see the Q10-008 Complete System. How long does installation take and what tools are required? The DropLok Easy Mount installs with just 4 bolts and can be completed in a matter of minutes. No specialized tools or permanent vehicle modification beyond the 4 mounting holes are required. Q'Straint designed DropLok specifically so it can be retrofitted into existing ambulances and emergency vehicles without significant labor cost or vehicle downtime.
