Mechanical Octopus Building Blocks Set

Articulated Octopus Brick Sculpture This mechanical octopus is a 1768 piece building blocks set that assembles into a large articulated sea creature on its own display base. The finished model spans 36 x 32.5 x 31.5 cm, and dual side LED lighting runs through the body so the arms glow from within once the build is complete. Multi Joint Tentacles and LED Lighting Each of the eight tentacles is built on a chain of ball joints, so the mechanical octopus toy can be curled, raised or splayed and holds the pose. The LED strips sit behind translucent bricks on both sides of the head, which makes the model read as a lit centrepiece on a desk, shelf or shop counter rather than a static block build. Specifications Piece count: 1768 pieces Assembled size: 36 x 32.5 x 31.5 cm (14.17 x 12.79 x 12.4 inches) Package size: 42 x 32.7 x 7.5 cm Recommended age: 12 and up Item number: 13085 Material: ABS plastic bricks, compatible with major building block brands Functions: multi joint tentacle mobility, dual side LED lighting, display base included STEM Construction Set for Teens and Adult Builders The build works through sub assemblies, the head, the frame and eight separate arms, so the mechanics stay understandable while the piece count keeps it a long project. It suits builders aged 12 and up who already work through large brick sets and want a mechanism to figure out rather than a straight copy of a picture. Brick Compatible Marine Model Parts are standard ABS bricks that fit major building block brands, so spares and lighting from an existing collection carry over. The octopus sits alongside other mechanical animal models and marine builds, and the included base keeps the tentacles clear of the surface when it is on display. Gift for Building Block Collectors and Ocean Fans A large lit octopus model makes a birthday or Christmas gift for teenagers, engineering students, aquarium and marine biology fans, and adult collectors of articulated brick sculptures.
