Purple Castor Bean (Ricinus communis)

Purple Castor Bean These beautiful plants have 5-7 point showy leaves, with simple white to yellow blooms. A semi-woody shrub with fast growth rates, this plant makes beautiful accenting in gardens. ⚠️ Toxicity Warning: Castor beans are toxic if ingested! Color: Purple to burgundy foliage, white blooms. Plant seeds in rich potting mix. Depth of seeds should be roughly 1/2” deep, keeping moist but not soggy, and in a warm sunny spot to encourage germination. Seeds need warmth to germinate.I would suggest starting in a tray and isolating plants as they mature. Batch Info: Current: Harvested in October 2024 in Fayette County Kentucky. Open pollinated. Packed for 2024.  Proud Kentucky grown seeds! Hand harvested, quality checked, and packed in small batches. Thanks so much for checking out my shop!
