Pura UVBB-1 Replacement UVC Light Bulb

4 Pin on a Single End - 23 Watt Germicidal Water Treatment Bulb The Pura UVBB-1 Generic Replacement UVC Light Bulb is a 23 Watt germicidal water treatment bulb that has four pins on a single end. With a total length of 18.23 inches, CureUV.com’s UVC light bulb is an effective way to sanitize water without altering the water’s pH, taste, or chemistry. This is because using UVC light to disinfect water is a purely physical process and is a far better option for chemicals and their bi-products. The quality of the water we use immensely affects our health and wellbeing. This germicidal sanitizer is designed to destroy, bacteria, viruses, protozoa, cysts, and other microorganisms that may create havoc on our health. The light bulb emits short UV-C radiation with a UV output peak of 253.7nm. This radiation is considered to be highly lethal for microorganisms and alters their genetic framework and prevents them from reproducing. We offer two versions of this UV-C bulb; a good quality foreign-made generic replacement unit and an ultra-high quality US-made unit. Both lights are guaranteed to be 100% compatible with the Pura UVBB-1. This bulb is available with a shatterproof coating that in case of damage keeps the lamp glass from falling into the unit where is installed. This results in an easy way to dispose of glass if it shatters. You can also select this shatterproof option above. Do I need shatterproof coating? Although shatterproof coating can lower the intensity of the UV-C bulb by as much as 15%, it is recommended for applications in which it is crucial to avoid potential glass breakage at all costs. These applications include but are not limited to food processing and medical institutions. However, if glass breakage would be inconvenient but not catastrophic, skipping the costly shatterproof coating is quite alright. After all, we do not use shatterproof coating with our glasses and plates at home.
