Punisher Summer Special 2A 1992 Comic Book

Step back into the gritty, high-stakes world of the Punisher with the Punisher Summer Special 2A (1992), a 52-page standalone that captures the blistering energy of early 90s Marvel storytelling. This edition stacks three distinct Punisher adventures with art and pacing that hardcore fans crave, delivering a complete experience in one collectible package. Iconic cover and interior art package — a striking painted cover by Simon Bisley sets the tone, while the interior fronts and backsides feature a stylized Punisher skull by Jimmy Palmiotti, elevating this issue beyond a standard anthology. Three tightly designed, character-forward stories — Rough Cut (Pat Mills) with pencils by Mike McKone and inks by Mark McKenna and Mike Gray (background inker) launches the issue, introducing high-stakes tension as De Sade returns and schemes to cast the Punisher in a snuff film. Urban warfare with noir sensibilities — High Risk (Chuck Dixon) pairs a firefight with a cutting-edge conceit as a life-insurance salesman pitches amid chaos, pushing the Punisher’s tactical prowess to the limit. Subway justice and street-level grit — The Local (Chuck Dixon) follows Punisher as he thins the ranks of thugs during a tense subway ride, blending action with moral clarity that defines the character. Teasers and crossovers that matter — the issue teases future Punisher War Journal content with art by Mark Texeira, inviting readers to track the evolving saga while enjoying a complete standalone read. Back-cover art and collection-worthy packaging — back cover Punisher art by Chris Sprouse rounds out the visual package, making this a must-have for fans who collect both art and stories.
