Step 2 – Plant Out: Transplant seedlings or thin direct-sown plants to 2–3 feet apart in rows 6–8 feet apart, in a sunny spot with well-drained soil. Step 3 – Water Consistently: Keep soil evenly moist, especially during fruit set. Water at the base to reduce disease risk. Step 4 – Harvest at 115 Days: Pumpkins are ready when the skin is fully orange, the rind is hard, and the stem begins to dry.
