Pumpkin Big Max

Big Max pumpkins are perfect for gardeners dreaming of growing giant fruits, reaching impressive sizes with the right care. Give them room to thrive, and you’ll be rewarded with stunning pumpkins ideal for fall fun and competitions! Planting guide: Planting depth: 3/4″-1″ or 2-2.5cm. Seeds per group (Hill): 5-8. Spacing: 3″ or 7.5cm. Spacing of groups (Hills): 6′-8′ or 1.8-2.4m. Thin to plants per group: 2-3. Days to maturity: 100-110. Plant after danger of frost, in a sunny area. Pumpkins need room, so give these giants 8’–12′ each way between hills. Turn in a spade full of rotted manure or compost in soil loosened 6″ deep. Water well. Thin to 2 best plants per hill. When fruit reaches 3″ in diameter, remove but 3 or 4 each vine. For real giants, plant in pure compost and remove all fruit but 1 closest to the main stem. Mulch well to keep fruit from wet ground.
