Pufferfish | Good Luck Minis

The Pufferfish isn’t just another pretty fish. Its ability to take in water and quickly grow to several times its normal size is a necessary defense mechanism, allowing the slow-moving and awkward swimmer to scare off predators instead of attempting to flee. History: For years, beautiful geometric designs on the seafloor off the coast of Japan both astounded and mystified scientists. They were the ocean equivalent of crop circles, and their genesis was just as mysterious. It turns out that the culprit, or creator, was a brand new species of pufferfish, the white-spotted pufferfish! Scientific Name: Tetraodontidae Characteristics: These cute Pufferfish would work just swimmingly in a mini underwater scene or as decorations or gifts at an ocean or aquatic themed party.
