PS95 Power Supply / Preamp

EVNO PS95 Preamp / Power Supply for EVNO Microphones The EVNO PS95 is the standard power supply designed to provide the correct power for EVNO microphones when used in a hardwired setup. Here are the key features and usage details for the PS95 power supply: Key Features     1.    Power Options:     ◦    Phantom Power: The PS95 can be powered by phantom power from a mixing console or audio interface.     ◦    1 AA Battery: Alternatively, the PS95 can be powered by a single AA battery, providing flexibility for various performance environments.     2.    Functionality:     ◦    Low-Cut Filter: The PS95 includes a low-cut filter to reduce unwanted low-frequency noise, which can be engaged as needed.     ◦    Flat response: When the low-cut filter is not activated, the microphone will be in a flat response.     ◦    On/Off Control:     ▪    Battery Power: The PS95 can be completely shut off when using a AA battery.     ▪    Phantom Power: When using phantom power, the microphone can only be turned off by turning off the phantom power at the source. The microphone remains on as long as phantom power is supplied.     3.    Design and Portability:     ◦    Compact Size: The PS95 is small and lightweight, making it easy to handle and transport.     ◦    Metal Chassis: Durable metal housing ensures the PS95 can withstand the rigors of live performance and frequent handling.     ◦    Mounting Options: The power supply can be clipped to a belt for mobility during performance or attached to a music stand for stationary use. This versatility makes it suitable for various performance setups. Stage Usage     •    Hardwired Setup: The PS95 must be used when EVNO microphones are operated in a hardwired setup, ensuring they receive the proper power and signal conditioning.     •    Wireless Setup: While the PS95 is not required for wireless operation, it can serve as a backup power supply or a solution for situations where wireless connectivity is not feasible. Practical Applications     •    Performance Mobility: Clipping the PS95 to a belt allows performers to move freely around the stage without being tethered to a stationary power source but is confined to the length of the cable.  For more movement see Evno Wireless Systems.     •    Stationary Performances: For performers who remain seated or in one location, the PS95 can be clipped to a music stand or placed nearby, providing easy access to power and control features. Summary The EVNO PS95 power supply is an essential accessory for EVNO microphones, ensuring they receive the correct power and signal conditioning in hardwired setups. Its dual power options, low-cut filter, low shelf adjustment, and durable, portable design make it a versatile tool for both mobile and stationary performances. Whether powered by phantom power or a AA battery, the PS95 offers reliable performance and flexibility to meet the demands of various musical environments.
