Strength of Electromagnets Investigation Kit

Strength of Electromagnets Science Investigation Kit In this investigation, students figure out how the structure of an electromagnet affects the strength of the magnetic field that it produces. The Electromagnets kit includes all the materials students will need to design and carry out the investigation in the Physical Science book (NGSS Edition).  Each kit contains enough materials for eight groups of students.  Materials: Battery Erasers Wire Iron nail Rubber Twist Ties Paperclips  Measuring Tape Wire Cutter Alignment with Academic Standards for Science   Source  Code  Performance Expectation  NGSS  MS-PS2-3  Ask questions about data to determine the factors that affect the strength of electric and magnetic forces.    Core Idea(s)  PS4: Forces at a Distance  PS3: Force, Motion, and Interaction  Practices  SEP1: Asking questions and defining problems  SEP3: Planning and carrying out investigations SEP4: Analyzing and interpreting data SEP6: Constructing explanations and designing solutions  SEP7: Engaging in argument from evidence SEP8: Obtaining, evaluating, and communicating information  Crosscutting Concepts  CC4: Systems and system models  Note: The product images shown may be for illustration purposes only and may not be an exact representation of the product.
