PRS S2 Vela Semi-Hollow - Cloud Burst

PRS S2 Vela Semi-Hollow - Cloud Burst Stepping into the spotlight with an unmistakable offset silhouette, the PRS S2 Vela Semi-Hollow brings a refreshingly unique personality to the Paul Reed Smith family. Built around an all-mahogany body with an asymmetric bevel, a single F-hole, and a captivating Cloud Burst finish, this guitar delivers a warm, lively, and dynamic tone. The semi-hollow chambering adds airy resonance and a tactile openness that makes every chord bloom. Anchored by the comfortable Pattern Regular mahogany set-neck and a smooth rosewood fretboard adorned with iconic bird inlays, it captures that legendary PRS playability with a cool, vintage-vibe twist. Under the hood, the Vela boasts an extremely versatile pickup combination that sets it apart from traditional humbucker models. The PRS DS-01 bridge pickup serves up bright, chimey single-coil-like clarity with plenty of authority, while the PRS Narrowfield neck pickup brings punchy bite and focused midrange response. Flip the push/pull tone knob to split the treble pickup, and you instantly unlock classic single-coil textures. Offset design lovers and modern innovators alike—from Living Colour's Vernon Reid to Alter Bridge's Mark Tremonti—have long celebrated PRS's forward-thinking craft, and the Vela carries that tradition forward for players seeking tone with true character.
