Protease Plus

Support Optimal Immunity Through Improved Digestion Doctors agree that as we grow older, our bodies are able to produce fewer enzymes. Enzymes that break down proteins are especially critical to good health because undigested proteins have been linked to a variety of unsavory health concerns. Benefits • Supports immunity by activating macrophages and natural killer cells. • Increases flexibility of red blood cells, improving bloodstream flow. • Recommended for pain. • Breaks down protein compounds. • 60,000 HUT per capsule • Provides a full spectrum of plant-derived trace minerals, which help activate enzymes. Nature's Sunshine's Advantage Nature's Sunshine Products Protease Plus combines protease enzyme with plant-sourced trace mineral concentrate for maximum intestinal support. Minerals help activate enzymes for optimal effect. How It Works When food enters the stomach, hydrochloric acid and digestive enzymes break down food into molecules and substances that the body can assimilate. From there, the food moves to the small intestine, where it comes in contact with digestive juices secreted by the gallbladder and pancreas. Enzymes are proteins that act as catalysts - they accelerate and precipitate any biochemical reaction that is part of the body processes. Proteases are a type of digestive enzyme that are designed to break down proteins into smaller proteins and amino acids. Protease enzymes are found in the stomach and in the pancreatic and intestinal juices and are especially important because any time a deficiency of protease exists, proteins can go through the intestinal tract and remain undigested. At the same time, malabsorption of nutrients and chronic health conditions, such as allergies and other autoimmune diseases, increase. If taken on an empty stomach, enzymes go through your body breaking down all inflammatory by-products that cause pain. Taking supplemental enzymes can help to ensure that the body receives full nutritional value from food intake. Scientific Support Studies show that protease helps keep the intestines protected from parasites and other organisms that may weaken the intestinal system.
