Promotional Electrolux Refrigerator Coin Bank c.1930

ABOUT These miniature banks were not sold in retail stores; instead, they were used as unique promotional advertising premiums during the 1930s. Door-to-door appliance salesmen and local utility showrooms gave them away to families to encourage children to save their pennies. The ultimate goal was to help the household save up the down payment for a real, full-sized Electrolux refrigerator.  CREATOR National Products Co.  DATE OF MANUFACTURE c.1930.
