Women experience all sorts of "symptoms" when the menstrual cycle begins to change, as we age.  Vaginal dryness, night sweats, low sex drive,  and a sudden need for some sort of "vaginal lubrication" during intercourse.  All signs of our shifting hormones, just like puberty.  All of these issues seem to stem from low progesterone.  Progesterone, though our middle hormone, is so critical for keeping our estrogens balanced.  And progesterone is made from wild yam. With so many estrogens in our outer world, it is difficult for our bodies to keep up the production.  Hence, the emergence of bio-identical hormone products and wild yam creams.  ProMeno is a WILD YAM CREAM.  Chemical and hormone free.  If you are still menstruating there is no need to use this product during your cycle.   (See Vital V, our WILD YAM SALVE, that is specifically for dryness in the vaginal area.) Women everywhere these days suffer from hormone imbalance, ie menopause, peri-menopause, PMS, and many more issues. Estrogen in our food and environment is contributing to this problem. Prescription hormones and bio-identical hormones are very popular to address the above-mentioned issues. Progesterone is conjugated from the alkaloid "diosgenin" found in wild yam (Dioscorea villosa). ProMeno Women's Wild Yam Cream is made from an olive oil infusion of wild yam with vitex (Agnus castus) and comfrey (Symphytum officinalis).  Wild yam is an herb that has been used for hormone issues by herbalists and native peoples for hundreds, if not thousands, of years. Additionally, wild yam has anti-inflammatory properties making this product popular as an eye cream.  Wild Yam is a native medicinal plant here at Medicine Woods, it shows itself all around our Medicine Trail in the woods.  We are not harvesting here to encourage the spread of this endangered  woodland medicinal plant.  We source the wild yam used from ethical wild-crafters throughout the USA.  Packaged in a 2 ounce glass jar.  Use 1 - 2 times daily anywhere on your body.  Face, arms belly, and thighs are all appropriate places.  Use 1/8 to 1/2 teaspoon each time.  A little dab will do ya!!! If it feels greasy....spread it around a little more and use less next time. Always consult with your doctor when using herbal products. ProAndro Men's Wild Yam Cream ProAndro Men's Wild Yam Cream was created out of an ever increasing request from my female customer's who say, "if the estrogen in our environment is bad for us, what is this toxin doing to my husband?" Do they cause male menopause or andropause?  Do you have anything for that?" ProAndro is made from wild yam, saw palmetto, nettle root and sarsaparilla root.  The alkaloid diosgenin found in wild yam (dioscorea villosa) is used to create bio-identical progesterone.  In women progesterone helps to keep all of our array of sex hormones balanced.  In men this hormone plays a slightly different role, but is greatly needed in our "estrogen toxic" environment. Progesterone is  produced in the testes and adrenal glands and is critical a critical component in balanced hormones. Progesterone is known to "assist in keeping testosterone balanced."  Though ProAndro does not contain any bio-identical progesterone it is made from an olive oil infusion of wild yam and other prostate tonics including saw palmetto, nettle root and sarsparilla root.  This is a daily remedy, 1/8 tsp. applied to the testicles.  Regular daily use seems to be helpful to men.  See the product reviews.
