Profilitec FOILTEC Waterproofing Membrane Rolls

Profilitec FOILTEC Waterproofing Membrane Rolls A waterproof membrane made of laminated polyethylene is designed for humid situations and is laid at the same time as the tile using the proper tile adhesive. Bacteria and dangerous chemicals are prevented from spreading by the membrane's soft and highly elastic material, which compensates for slight movement between the substrate and tile covering. Features The polyethylene insulating membrane is coupled on two sides and is compatible with tile adhesive. Supplied in 3'3" rolls of different length sizes: 16'5", 26-1/4', 33', and 98'5" It is particularly suitable in shower stalls, preventing humidity from spreading to adjacent rooms Tested with vapor test proving high resistance, making it an excellent option for wet steam rooms The membrane's soft, highly elastic material also makes up for any slight movements between the support and the covering, preventing the spread of hazardous microorganisms FOILTEC membranes include a complete range of accessories to meet specific site requirements, ensuring state-of-the-art installations, contributing to a workmanlike laying FOILTEC Product Installation STEP 1: Make sure the base is level, smooth, clean, and dry STEP 2: Use flexible adhesive, butyl tape, MS polymer adhesive, or waterproof glue to seal any overlaps between FOILTEC, its attachments, and any vulnerable regions. STEP 3: Before installation, trim the membrane to the proper length. Use a 10 cm overlap along floor-to-wall junctions and a 5 cm overlap in other membrane areas. STEP 4: Apply the waterproof membrane to the flooring using the proper tile adhesive and a trowel with a 3mm x 3mm notched edge. STEP 5: Using butyl tape, MS polymer adhesive, or waterproof glue, check and confirm that vital portions or corners are waterproofed. STEP 6: Lay the flooring tiles directly over the FOILTEC membrane using tile adhesive.
