Professor Nimbal

Professor Nimbal with Avi and Addy explore the whys whats and hows of Crohn's and Colotis. Follow their adventure of learning by traveling with them into the depths of the intestines in the People Operated Omniverse Projectile P.O.O.P. for short. Be there as they see how the immune system and fecal microbiome interact to cause the inflammation found in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. This NiMBAL comic helps to inform patients in an entertaining interactive and inviting way.   David Suskind MD is a pediatric gastroenterologist and Professor of Pediatrics at Seattle Children's Hospital and University of Washington and a childhood friend of Professor Nimbal. Although he doesn't get to travel around in a People Operated Omniverse Projectile (P.O.O.P.) he does get to lead a national effort to integrate nutritional therapy into the clinical care for patients with inflammatory Bowel Disease. An expert in intestinal diseases and fighting bacteria he has focused much of his energy into the clinical care of patients with IBD as well as research on the effects of dietary therapy in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. He believes in patient and family empowerment through education and he believes in you!
