Fórn - The Departure Of Consciousness Ltd. CD

SHIPPING NOW Last year my old friend Andy texted me after a tour suggesting I check out this new band, FÑrn. Their bands had played together on tour and he was certain they would be right up my alley. He wasn't wrong. I was floored. The Departure of Consciousness is a devastating debut record, without question. It is an offering of completely destructive energy. Throughout the album FÑrn ascend to a realm of apocalyptic riffage and scathing vocals, giving way only briefly to lulls of despondent melody. Before any glimmer of hope is capable of penetrating the filth and the grime, this entity of misery plunges back to immeasurable depths and broods in despair. This is a seething album of bleak and blistering atmosphere, it is a work of doom absolute. Many of you that have been following the label know I rarely release CDs, but I was so taken by this album that I needed to work with FÑrn in any way possible. The Departure of Consciousness was originally released on vinyl by Vendetta Records, and will be presented on CD by Gilead Media in a heavy-duty gatefold jacket with artwork by Bryan Proteau of Natvres Mortes Illustration. This pressing will be limited to 500 copies and each one will include a sticker. The Departure Of Consciousness by FÑrn
