Procera Blue Dot African Juniper Gin

The Procera Blue Dot Gin is where the story of Procera began—the signature expression that introduced the world to Africa’s first truly premium gin. While most gins rely on dried juniper berries imported from Europe, Procera discovered something extraordinary in its own backyard: fresh indigenous Juniperus Procera berries, handpicked at over 2,200 meters in the Kenyan highlands. Sun-drenched, vibrant, and alive, these fresh berries form the backbone of a gin unlike any other. Distilled in Nairobi, it captures the heart and soul of Africa in every sip. Why Buy the Procera Blue Dot Gin? Blue Dot is Procera’s original flagship release, crafted for elegance, slow sipping, and the perfect Dry Martini. Using 11 African botanicals alongside fresh juniper, it delivers extraordinary depth, intense juniper presence, earthy undertones, and lifted top notes. For G&T lovers, Procera even provides a custom botanical salt garnish that transforms the drink into a one-of-a-kind savory experience. This isn’t just gin—it’s a pioneering spirit that has redefined what premium gin can be. The Background Founded in Nairobi, Procera is the world’s first distillery to use fresh African juniper rather than imported dried berries. This choice defines the house style: vibrant, nuanced, and unmistakably African. Named for the Procera tree that provides its juniper, the distillery sources botanicals exclusively from across the continent, supporting local growers while creating a gin that reflects its terroir. Blue Dot remains the signature expression, celebrated by bartenders and collectors worldwide. Tasting Notes & Profile Nose: Bright, lifted, and juniper-forward, with delicate zesty citrus undertones layered over a herbal, lightly nutty backdrop. Complex, inviting, and multi-faceted, showcasing an abundance of juniper-driven character. Palate: Elegant and round, with a broad, mouth-filling quality. Seamlessly balanced and integrated, with juniper again coming to the fore, supported by restrained citrus and herbaceous notes. Textural and complex on the mid-palate, and boldly intense on a persistent, soft finish.
