The Starborn Pro Plug® System for WEARDECK Decking is a concealed fastening solution designed to deliver the strength of traditional face fastening while maintaining a clean, finished deck surface. The system includes stainless steel deck screws, color-matched composite plugs, and a proprietary installation tool that ensures consistent screw depth. Each plug is precision-cut from actual WEARDECK decking material, allowing it to blend seamlessly with the board surface for a uniform, professional appearance. During installation, screws are driven through the decking using the Pro Plug Auto-Stop™ setting tool, which stops automatically when the correct depth is reached. This helps prevent over-driving and protects the deck board surface. After the screw is installed, the matching plug is inserted into the hole and tapped flush with the deck surface, concealing the fastener head while maintaining a strong, secure attachment to the joist.
