Pro Lean Greens - 30 Servings

Description  Nutritional Frontiers Pro Lean Greens Cleanse • Detoxify • Rejuvenate A Drink Mix Supplement to Support Detoxification Functions  Nutritional Frontiers’ Pro Powders are all-natural fruit and vegetable based juice powders, fortified with specific nutrients to target specific systems. These formulations are gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, vegetarian formulas that are free from herbicides and pesticides. Fruits and vegetables are necessary components of a healthy diet. They contain powerful plant compounds known as phytochemicals which perform numerous functions throughout the body. Plant foods also provide fiber and essential nutrients. Sometimes people find it difficult to attain the recommended 5-7 servings of produce a day, and that’s where Pro Lean Greens and other Pro Powders by Nutritional Frontiers come in. Ingesting a rainbow of colors and a variety of fruits and vegetables daily provides intake of phenols, vitamin C, proanthocyanidins, ellagic acid, bioflavonoids, and anthocyanins, all of which are powerful antioxidants. Antioxidants battle damage from free radicals, which are believed to play a role in numerous health conditions like aging, cancer, atherosclerosis, and more. In addition to fruits and vegetables, Pro Lean Greens features added nutrients like folate, vitamin C from acerola fruit, sunflower lecithin, and choline as VitaCholine®. Choline is an essential dietary nutrient involved in a wide variety of physiological functions and necessary for the synthesis of phospholipids, which comprise cell membranes. Choline supports proper liver, nerve & brain function and is used in the manufacture of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, as well as being a precursor to the methyl donor betaine. More Info. Detoxification support is provided in Pro Lean Greens as N-Acetyl-LCysteine, spirulina, chlorella, N,N-Dimethylglycine (DMG), milk thistle, and Emothion® S-Acetyl-L-Glutathione. Glutathione is a key part of liver detoxification as it binds toxic chemicals as well as being a free radical scavenger. Glutathione is active in Phase II detoxification, helping the body manage carcinogens, toxins, and drugs. The methyl donor DMG assists in the biosynthesis of vitamins, hormones, neurotransmitters, antibodies & nucleic acids. DMG was patented over three decades ago for aiding with systemic inflammatory disease, modulating immune response, and boasts in vitro evidence of antioxidant effects via free radical scavenging activity and enhancement of the endogenous antioxidant defense system. Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) is used to protect and restore function of the liver with ample research behind its traditional uses. Fibersol®-2, a soluble fiber comprised of a digestion-resistant maltodextrin, is also incorporated into Pro Lean Greens. Fiber serves many purposes, including binding toxins in the intestines to aid in detoxification, helping glucose and lipid control, and supporting proper bowel function, regularity, fecal volume, and beneficial intestinal micro flora. What makes Fibersol®-2 unique is that it is so soluble and less dense than other fibers that it mixes instantly and does not cause bloating or intestinal gas, like other fiber products. Fibersol®-2 is not only well-tolerated but also results in favorable fermentation characteristics in the large bowel, assisting production of the short chain fatty acid butyrate which is the preferred fuel source of colon cells. For a gentle energy boost, Pro Lean Greens contains beet root powder, green tea leaf extract, ginkgo leaf extract, and bee pollen. For digestive support, Nutritional Frontiers has added probiotics and digestive enzymes to Pro Lean Greens. Pro Lean Greens is high in fiber and low in carbohydrates. It can be mixed simply with water, juice, milk or a non-dairy milk alternative. Or it may be added to a blender with fresh or frozen fruit, milk or non-dairy milk alternative, ice, nut butter, and so on. Pro powders are convenient: they do not go bad, like the produce rotting in your fridge; you don’t have to worry about what’s in season; and they taste great, ensuring compliance for “picky” eaters: children and adults alike!
