Prizren Fabric

The Prizren pattern is a beautiful expression of Albanian cultural heritage. This traditional motif—originating from the historic city of Prizren—features horizontal rows of stylized floral elements stitched in cross-stitch form, echoing the patterns found in old Albanian linens, folk costumes, and home adornments. Each band includes a symmetrical bouquet-like form: floral diamonds flanked by leafy branches, composed of precise geometric shapes. The structure is formal and balanced, but the detail feels personal—rooted in the patient rhythm of hand embroidery. This pattern is more than decoration—it’s a cultural thread, connecting generations through form, color, and memory. The Prizren motif carries with it a sense of place and pride—woven history made visible.     Repeat: 4.5''(h) x 4.5’’(v).
