It can also be used over finished makeup as a refresher at any point in the day. Is it for the face only? No. It is made for the face and the body, which is why the bottle is a generous 150 ml. Will it disturb my makeup? No. One or two pumps from 20 cm settles the base and revives the complexion rather than lifting it. Does it replace a toner? It does the same preparation work: it hydrates the surface and helps whatever follows absorb. If you already use a toner, use this as the refreshing step rather than adding both. What does it feel like? A very fine, even mist with a light fresh scent and a cool finish from the menthyl lactate. It settles within a minute and leaves no stickiness.
