No other graphic designer has had a bigger influence on the snowboarding aesthetic in the post Y2K era than Aaron James Draplin. The pride of Traverse City, Michigan made a pilgrimage to Mt. Bachelor in the mid-90's to scratch that snowboard bum itch. It was while chasing around the likes of Josh Dirksen and Marcus Egge that Draplin realized he had a different calling and he enrolled in the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Upon graduation Aaron once again packed up and moved out West to become the Art Director of Snowboarder Magazine. For the next two decades Draplin's thick line design style has graced everything from snowboard top sheets, to binding company identity's to Bernie Sanders presidential campaign posters with a few assignments for the likes of Nike and Ford peppered in to pay the bills. Pretty Much Everything is a 256-page mid-career celebration of the passion, output and persona of a man whose impact on snowboardings visual narrative is as prolific as it is profound.
