Presente Keffiyeh

Keffiyeh, Shemagh, Kufiya, Scarf in Green, White & Red Presente. It's the word a crowd says back when a name is read out loud — the name of someone taken, disappeared, deported. One word. It means: still here. You didn't erase him. Palestinians have been saying the same thing since 1948, in a different language. Green, white, red. You know these colors. So do millions of people who aren't reading the same map — and that's not a coincidence. Two peoples who refuse to disappear ended up wearing the same three. Wear it and you're taking a side. Against occupation. Against raids. Against anyone who gets to decide who belongs and who gets removed.
