***PREORDER*** Epiphone Futura Explorer Custom ***PREORDER*** Estimated Shipping Date August The Epiphone Futura Explorer Custom is a bold, modern evolution of one of the most daring shapes in electric guitar history. Originally introduced in the late 1950s, the Explorer’s futuristic design was decades ahead of its time, eventually becoming a staple for rock and metal titans worldwide. This "Inspired by Gibson" model takes that groundbreaking legacy and injects it with forward-thinking features designed for the modern era of recording and content creation. Built with a solid mahogany body and a glued-in mahogany neck, this guitar provides a deep, resonant foundation and exceptional sustain. Under the hood, this Explorer is all about versatility. It features Epiphone’s new ProBucker Ignite humbuckers, which deliver powerful tones with impressive clarity and definition. Whether you need the punch of a traditional humbucker or the chime of a single-coil, the push/pull controls unlock coil-splitting and phase-switching options at your fingertips. The Modern C neck profile and ebony fingerboard—complete with a compound radius and 22 stainless steel medium jumbo frets—ensure that the playability is effortless for both smooth chording and high-fret bends. Visually, the Futura Explorer Custom is a true showstopper. The stunning Chromashift finishes are designed to turn heads on stage or on screen, shifting colors as you move. Elegant 7-ply top binding and Super 400-style pearloid split block inlays provide a touch of "Custom" class to an otherwise rebellious silhouette. Paired with reliable hardware like the LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and Grover Mini Rotomatic locking tuners, this guitar is a performance-ready instrument that honors its vintage roots while sprinting toward the future.
