The Premier Blueberry is a standout variety from the Rabbiteye family, known for its vigorous fruit production and natural heat tolerance. Its adaptability to warm climates and sensitivity to colder temperatures make it ideal for planting in the Southeastern United States. Blooming from February to early March, the Premier Blueberry bush produces delicate white or pink flowers, followed by a bountiful harvest of large, dark blueberries from May to June in southern regions. This hardy plant can grow up to 6 to 8 feet tall, delivering a generous crop year after year. Unlike many self-pollinating varieties, the Premier Blueberry requires cross-pollination to thrive. For the best results, pair it with compatible cross-pollinators to maximize fruit production. The Premier Blueberry bush produces firm, sweet, and juicy berries that are perfect for eating fresh, baking, or making jams and jellies.
