Premier 700™-Series 730 Candle Wicks

Premier 730-6” pre-cut, pre-tabbed wick. 1.13” flame height; 1.71” burn pool. Premier 700™-Series wicks are versatile wicks suitable for paraffin, veggie, and blended waxes. They are made using a flat braided cotton design with integrated paper filaments. This design allows for a clean burn and minimal carbon buildup. Benefits of Premier 700™-Series wicks Premier wicks have two benefits: first they have many sizes so you are really able to pinpoint which size works best in each candle second, their paper filaments are really designed to help keep a steady flame and balanced heat output, making your candle burn smooth and long Premier wicks are well loved by professional candle makes because of their ease of use and their consistent burn. They have minimal mushrooming, minimal soot and are great at self-trimming. One distinct benefit of Premier Series wicks is their small size options. If you are creating votives or if you are doing multi-wick larger vessels, the smaller ranges allow for you to have more control over your burn pool. You can use the smaller Premier wicks in votives, then use that same wick in a larger, multi-wick container. What type of waxes work well with Premier 700™-Series wicks? Premier wicks really perform well with all our wax blends: soy, coconut blends and para-blends. This wick is really an ideal system for all your candle needs. Can Premier 700™-Series wicks work with high fragrance load candles? As with any wick, it is important to have the correct size for your container/fragrance/wax to have the most optimal hot throw. Premier wicks do work well with high fragrance load candles, but Premier wicks do burn cooler than others so you will often need to size up. Heavy vanilla or heavy floral fragrances can sometimes require a more powerful wick, so if you are finding that the Premier wick of choice is not burning as evenly as you’d like with those scents, increase your wick size by one and re-test. Are Premier 700™-Series wicks self-trimming? Yes, Premier wicks are one of the better wicks at self-trimming. Mushrooming is caused when there is an imbalance between the amount of heat the wick puts off and the amount needed for the candle. Generally, this means that the wick is too large for the candle; either the flame and burn pool are too large, so you need to scale down in wick size, or the wick burns too hot for that specific wax type. Do Shay wicks contain lead? As always, all our wicks are zinc and lead free; made of natural fibers only. For personal guarantees, always test each wick with each different wax type, fragrance and container. Personal testing is the only way to ensure how the wick will perform in your product.
