What’s The Difference? Looking at the Specification Sheet below, you’ll quickly notice that the MATRIX Thermal Monocular models have a lot in common. They share the same type of VOx Gen2 sensor with an outstanding NETD of <18mK, they share the same power supply, screen resolution, operating system etc. So here are a couple key differences to take note of: Objective Lens Size Sensor Resolution LRF When you compare the objective lens sizes (15mm vs 35mm) and sensor resolutions (384×288 vs 640×512) you’ll notice how it can affect field of view and detection distance. Larger lenses allow more thermal energy into the sensor and make target identification at longer ranges easier. You’ll also notice that the LRF models have a built in laser range finder for determining the correct range to your target or to terrain features.
