[Pre-Order] Broadway Limited 10578 | DLMX 4219-Type Auxiliary Water Tender - Steam Railroading Institute #5112 | HO Scale

Steam excursions burn through water fast, and the mainline water stops that once served them are long gone. The answer is an auxiliary water tender: a converted tank car that trails the locomotive and its regular tender, carrying enough extra water to make a modern excursion practical. This is the DLMX 4219 type, the car most often seen behind preserved steam power on the main line. It is a distinctive piece of equipment and an easy way to make an excursion consist look right.
