Sonatina

Composer(s): Paul Mack Somers “Sonatina for Unaccompanied Flute was composed for Janet Carol Schleinin 1968. We had become engaged, though she was still working at Cornell’sOlin Library and I had moved back to my childhood home with my parents in Westfield, NJ, as I set up a store-front piano teaching studio. So I decided to give her something for her alone. I must admit that the idea of writing a fugue for a solo flute was a quirky challenge I set for myself that after more than fifty years still makes me smile. We were married in June of 1969.” – Paul Somers Publisher: Maurice River Press Instrumentation: Flute Binding: 9 x 12 Format: Performance UPC: 680160686223 ISBN: 9781491123355 Item No: 494-03203 Publication Date: 2/1/2023
