Praline Pouf - Ø52

The Woud Praline Pouf takes its cue from something as simple as chocolate pralines, which sounds almost silly until you see how perfectly those rounded, indented forms translate into furniture. Beaverhausen, the Brussels-based design duo behind this piece, has created something that's instantly recognizable yet totally unexpected - the soft, curved silhouette with neat stitching details manages to look both sculptural and inviting at the same time. The 52cm diameter hits that sweet spot where it's substantial enough to anchor a seating area but compact enough to move around easily when you need extra seats or want to use it as a footrest. The natural bouclé fabric adds this tactile quality that makes you want to reach out and touch it, while the generous contours give it enough presence to work as a statement piece rather than just utilitarian seating. What's clever about the construction is how the top remains flat enough to actually function as a tray holder - you can set down drinks, books, or whatever without everything sliding off, but it's still soft enough for comfortable seating when needed. The fully upholstered design with FSC-certified materials means you're getting quality construction that's built to handle daily use rather than just looking good for photos. The made-to-order approach lets you choose from different fabric options, so you can dial in exactly the color and texture that works with your space. The neat stitching isn't just decorative - it actually helps the pouf maintain its shape over time rather than developing that saggy, worn-out look that cheaper poufs get after a few months of use. Woud continues this approach where design inspiration can come from anywhere - even candy - as long as it results in something genuinely useful and well-executed. Their collaboration with Beaverhausen reflects this openness to working with designers who bring strong storytelling backgrounds from their art direction experience, ensuring each piece has this narrative quality that makes it more engaging than generic furniture. The brand focuses on creating pieces that enhance daily life through thoughtful design rather than just filling space, which is why the Praline pouf works equally well as seating, footrest, or occasional table depending on what you need in the moment.
