Prairie Trillium

Customers with wooded lots or shady sites love these charming little wildflowers. With their petite, tri-petaled blooms in unique shades of deep purple to brown, Prairie Trillium is the perfect perennial for accenting those often difficult landscapes. Plant this U.S. native in sun-dappled areas where the brightly mottled foliage can easily be admired. Very nice in rock gardens where the delicate blooms contrast with the naturally rugged backdrop. A dependable grower that requires no special care or maintenance to thrive, Trillium recurvatum is often found growing wild along the trails in the country's state parks. Blooms reliably from April to May in zones 4-8. Butterflies love this low-growing beauty.
