What it cannot do is a staircase, a sofa, a car interior, or the six inches along a baseboard — because there is no hose on it. This is the part that fixes that, and it is Powr-Flite’s own. If you are buying a PFX-NS wand for open carpet, you still need this hose to connect it — a wand on its own cannot be plugged into the machine. This kit supplies the hose and the PX5 fitting that connects to the machine, so the two are bought together the first time. Is 10 feet of hose enough? For stairs and furniture, comfortably — you wheel the machine to the bottom of the flight and work up. For a long corridor you would move the machine rather than the hose, which is what the wheels are for. Is the tool heated? No. The Prowler is a cold water machine, so the solution arrives at whatever temperature you put in the tank. Fill it with hot water if you want heat. Is this a genuine Powr-Flite part? Yes.
