Powerlifting Bar

A whippy gym-class barbell? You're not serious yet. A 1,500 LBS / 680 KG slab of stiff steel with knurl that bites? Now we're talking. This is a powerlifting bar. Not a hybrid. Not a "good enough." Built to IPF specs without the jacked up certification price tag: 29 mm shaft, powerlifting-only knurl marks, center knurl, aggressive knurling cut that actually grips. It does three things: squat, bench, deadlift. Sure, you can use it for rows, lunges, and good mornings, but those are just gravy on your meat and potatoes. (Need a bar that does everything without apology? The Multi-Purpose Utility Bar is your huckleberry.) 44.09 LBS / 20 KG. 86-5/8" / 2,200 mm overall length. 16-15/16" / 430 mm of loadable sleeve per side — enough for any plates you own and the ones you'll buy when the PRs start stacking up. Speaking of plates: if you're training seriously for competition, load it with Calibrated Powerlifting Plates — thinner profile, IPF color coding, and within +/- 10 grams of claimed weight. TWO FINISHES. One mission. Bare Steel (AKA The Barenaked Powerlifting Bar): Raw, reactive, built for chalk. Develops a natural patina over time. For the lifter who doesn't care how it looks as long as it performs. Black Cerakote: Same bar, corrosion-resistant finish that keeps it looking sharp session after session. For the lifter who trains in humid basements or wants a dark and moody vibe. Garage Gym Reviews named it BEST BUDGET POWER BAR three years in a row. Hundreds of reviews. 4.9/5 stars. 97% recommend. The most common review starts with "the knurling…" and ends with "…PR'd." Same 1,500 LBS / 680 KG capacity. Same 29 mm shaft. Same IPF-spec geometry as bars priced two-to-four times higher. LIMITED LIFETIME warranty. Canada flat-rate shipping (capped at $199 CAD). Load it up and get that next PR. IMPORTANT: For bare steel barbells, we take extra precautions to reduce any oxidation/rusting while in storage and transit by coating the barbell in oil but small rust spots may be visible when you receive it. Clean it with some simple green cleaner and a BBQ brush, then wipe dry with a microfiber cloth. Click here for a how-to video and How To Clean a Bare Steel Barbell. For cerakote-coated barbells, use Nylon brushes or microfiber towels only! Avoid abrasive metal-to-metal contact from tight-fitting collars, weight plates, un-lined landmine attachments, and j-cups, to preserve that beautiful rust-resistant finish for years to come! Barbell is built to IPF specs, but is not IPF certified. In other words, you can use it for competition training and get the real feel, but not on the platform.
